Andrew Matthews

Andrew qualified as a dentist from UWCM in 1989.

From there he went into general dental practice in Bristol, and then established his own dental practice at Danescourt in Cardiff in 1992.

Andrew’s patience and technical ability made him an excellent candidate as a trainer for young dentists. He became a Vocational Trainer in 1996, and currently holds the position of Training Programme Director, in the South West Wales, for Dental Foundation Training where he mentors young and overseas dentists.

Andrew also undertook further postgraduate studies in Orthodontics at Warwick University gaining his Certificate in 2008, and was a dental adviser for Public Health Wales and Aneurin Bevan Health Board from 2004-2021. He has worked in the Orthodontic field as a dentist since 2006.
